Behringer Rack Tuner BTR2000 Reviews 5

The Behringer BTR2000 Rack Tuner is a great piece of equipment for my small home studio. I stopped playing out and now I just make my own music at home. This is a valuable tool and I'm glad I added it to my studio. I'm primarily a guitar player and tuners are a necessary part of, uhhh,...playing in tune !

I bought it from Musician's Friend for about $80 and I thought the features made it a huge bargain!

Listen, this box has 2 inputs, TRUE Bypass(!) a built in mic, a metronomethat you can see or hear with tap adjustable tempo, a bunch of different preset tunings even for open tunings (great especially for playing blues on a resonator guitar) and a powerful LED light bank. Are you kidding ?! For 80 bucks ?! How can you pass it up if you use rack gear ?

The only thing I don't like is that the mic doesn't pick up an acoustic guitar signal if you don't get sort of close. I didn't expect it to be limitless and it doesn't really detract too much from all the great features it has.

It's a well-built unit and it's easy to use. The only thing I wish it had was the ability to use a goose neck lamp but it might be just because of my particular set-up. Maybe the majority of users wouldn't care about that.

The tuner graph is very easy to see from far away so you know at a glance if you're flat or sharp. It's a well-planned design and a lot of common sense went into the design. With the light panel, you can illuminate some of your gear that doesn't give off enough light on it's own. It's the best use of $80 that I've found so far and I would highly advise anyone who needs a rack tuner to give the Behringer some serious consideration. I looked around and feature to price, nothing touches the BTR2000. Love it !!!
